Iris Hantverk

Dish brush

199 kr

Incl. vat & climate compensation

Dish brush in birch and horse hair. The curve of the brush makes it ideal for washing glasses whose rounded bottom may otherwise be difficult to reach.

The best way to clean your dish brush is to boil water, pour in a few drops of mild detergent and dip your dish brush and stir. If it is very oily, you may need to repeat it a few times. Beat out the water and let it dry so that the water drains away from the brush. Preferably dry hanging.

Iris Hantverk has a long and exciting history with strong ties to the Swedish Association of the Visually Impaired, SRF. During the 19th century, Swedish society changed with the transition to an industrial society, which, among other things, had consequences for the visually impaired. Earlier in the agricultural society, a visually impaired person had had his natural place in the home and on the farm, but with industrialization, that system was eroded to some extent and the visually impaired found it increasingly difficult.

A 140-year-old craft tradition meets today's desire for sustainable design. The handmade brushes have become more popular than ever and are sold all over the world. Iris Hantverk's brush bindery is located in Enskede, Stockholm.

Our carbon footprint calculation tool for products was developed together with the Swedish environmental research consultancy 2050. We developed a database of CO2e emissions data for the cradle-to-gate emissions generated by materials used in all parts and packaging of products. This is calculated by using the total weight of each finished part/material, the average energy use for product assembly and transportation - everything is calculated in detail.
